Democracy provides an incessant opportunity for its evaluation. Electoral contestation of Dimple Yadav in the by-election of Kannauj Lok Sabha (2012), a seat vacated by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, can be a context of reassessment. This cannot be construed as ‘mere’ news. It has, like previous ones, serious multiple implications on democracy.
