Much needed piece. But why can't we clearly say that use of force to bring people back at their own homes was not exactly the right thing to do. Instead slow but rather beneficial political steps were needed to prevent the erosion of ground level support of politically neutral mass. Force worked fine in some other situations in Midnapur but in this specific case open use of force eventually forced us democratically out of Nandigram.

May sound cliche but must say , violence begets violence.
