Thanks Ramakumar for an excellent reply to MB's distortions and lies which are mainly motivated by sole purpose of accusing Left because writers like him are scared of emergence of any broader movement which genuinely counters narrow politics of vested interests of caste politics and raises real issues of oppressed caste groups. As you pointed out rightly that there is a series of such intentional attempts of questioning Left's credentials on the issue of caste not that these vested interests are interested in engaging in a constructive and meaningful dialogue but to undermine Left's contribution in developing a holistic understanding on the issue of social oppression and exploitation seems to be their one point agenda. Nevertheless Left in today's situation should engage with the issues of social oppression along with the issues of land, wage and fight with the landlordism and enrich itself and its movements by championing these issues and at the same time genuine elements in caste politics should realise the importance of such an approach and should shun their hostility towards Left and attempts to isolate it in the greater interests of building a democratic and progressive political culture for the future in general and for their own caste groups specifically.
