Comrade

Here is an even more atrocious article in ET, http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/policy/food-security-to-create-permanent-wheat-shortage/articleshow/9391239.cms. The article has no basis in actual supply-demand figures, yet pronounces disaster if food security bill is passed. It even goes on to claim that people like "us" would starve if government decides to pass the act since there is no way wheat supply can match "our" demand if "they" are fed too! It is interesting that the article repeatedly uses terms like "starving", "anxiety", "shortage", "nightmare" etc creating a story of complete destruction of hope for the middle classes. The article is too "ideological" which the pink press claims as a leftist trait!

While many tend to think that ideology is dead, here is a concrete example of it being alive and kicking in neoliberal press. This reminds me of the prediction of doom when NREGA was being passed. Now the same analysts claim that NREGA has increased wages etc. etc.!

Such are the dishonest, insensitive and self-obsessed neoliberal ideologues of India.
