The Kerala state budget for 2009-2010 presented by Com. Thomas Issac in the Kerala assembly has kindled new expectations on the pursuit of Left wing alternatives. The budget comes after the Union Budget presented in parliament last week, which has drawn severe criticism for the pursuit of neo-liberal policies and the apparently lukewarm approach to tackle the Economic Recession.
